| Last Saturday was the final tasting of the 'makan yogurt' tasting
session. As mentioned, 8 of us have to prepare 4 type of courses
(dipping, starter, main course and dessert) to the panel 'judges' from
that company. We started our mise-en-place
at 8 a.m and chef was kind enough to provide us 4 commis to help us
out. However Derick was not able to join us so that means we have 11
cook in total. Preparation was good, had a lot of fun and laughter (as
usual). They came at around 12 pm and most of the stuffs was already
prepared by then. Everything went well, (except that i almost burn all
the duck breasts) and then it was the time for them to give their
feedbacks. The moment we went into the restaurant the applause given by
the judges was overwhelming (i mean it)! We didn't expect that.
hahaha... They were so impressed on how we were able to create so many
kind of dishes by just using 4 yogurt flavors. "The dessert was
FANTASTIC", they said...If everything goes well (means, if they accept
the recipes lah...), they will do the food photo shooting this
saturday. That means, another saturday to be sacrificed. Anyway, enjoy
the pics guys! Btw, sorry, i can only give the description on main
courses coz i was only doing that:p

| I'm so fucking happy today! As in really really fucking happy!!! Hahaha... After one week of sleepless nights, I'm finally confirmed joining FHM! (not the magazine... it's Food Hotel Malaysia). It's a competition held once every two years! And I'm competing!!! Hahaha! At first, they told me not to have high hopes due to the administration problem, and so I was sad, coz I have all the menu prepared and been thinking about it even when I was in France, but now, I'm a happy man!
Anyway, did lamb today and it turned out well. Chef liked it. Enough said! Roasted lamb loin served with ratatouile, candied julienne lemon skin and garlic confit:

| I wanted to bitch about today, but since I'm listening to Sarah Brightman & Andrea Bocelli: Time to Say Goodbye, I decided to be nice instead. The yogurt thing.... it's not going too well!!! To make things worse, now he wants to add chicken and fish. WTF? WTF? WTF? There is only two guys handling main courses k... and like what my chef used to say, "You think i i***a god ah?... Got so many hands ar???" But since he is my chef, what can I say. So that means I have to wake up at 7a.m. tomorrow, brush my teeth, take a shower, put on my uniform and off to college. Sigh. I miss you saori..hope to see you soon:)
My version of pumpkin and leek soup served with julienne chicken and crouton:) *Yum*
